Richie - no payment necessary... just two kindred spirits, wandering Dixie
(sorry Evelyn)
Thanks Richie!! Great compliment, will be smiling rest of the day.
California Coast & Country....C C C...takes her comment and demonstrates making her point and complimenting mine...well done little lady
Gin Gin....I wouldn't think the word "antagonistic would even be in your world let alone your vocabulary..Ginny remains pleasurable hostess and commenter
Evelyn ...is giving out free "pox" to special deserving people....She is welcomed at any post gathering
Alan May...See Kerrie for AR's ANTI-POX serum or "new" chewy tablets form...
Joan...there are people in the world who have no natural flowing energy coming from within (as they should) and as a result, have to create their own artificial stimulus. I refuse to enable or give as well as receive from these type of "out of sync" individuals. Choose who you want to connect with and who you don't...sharing is privileged not a prerequisite for arguing
Debbie...if one wants to look more "professional" to the public as you comment, renting out your picture is another way to go
Hello Valerie...Yes, to your comment...Who hasn't wished to have those moments taken back and very few have been able to do so....Lucky them and good for them if they realized it is NOT their best face forward
Alan...always a pleasure to have over
Beth...Ms Sunshine when she is out and about...go get em girl..make the world a better place one grin at a time
Hi Richie,
I read all the comments and agree with most of them. I think most of us at AR leave polite comments. I feel you can always write your opinion but should be polite as we all see things a little differently. I like what Paula said "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all".
Richie, I do the same thing as I go back and comment on everyone's blog who have commented on mine. It is important to reciprocate to each other and just respectful. It is like a Christmas card; if one sends you one, you should send one back.
Richie - first, I love your title! second, I like your topic and agree with you. third, I didn't know anything about comments being disappearing. Active Rain is a great forum in which to learn, make friends, and grow. Thanks.
I've looked at some of my past blogs and found some of the same things... interesting. I had not considered whether they had been puposefully deleted, or were no longer a member.
Great post as always Richie! I have seen some comments that were so rude I couldn't believe anyone would ever consider being so nasty. Like you said...we don't all have to agree. Even when people don't agree they can at least disagree in a professional manner. If they can't do that they shouldn't comment at all.
HI Richie, thanks for the reminder. We like to read and laugh at some of our old posts.
DEAR LADIES....
Kristin...you know I read your comment and I had deep feelings of wanting to be your next door neighbor. Very warm and inviting this aura of yours. As for Paula, she is loved, wanted and can do no wrong in my book...Just the real deal and she has paid into her life dues...Your Xmas card analogy has legs...case in point..best dear lady
Lottie...First, I enjoy it when you visit and comment. Second, I like you and agree with you too. Third, there is so much I don't know, I stopped keeping track. As a result, I am much happier now..ACTIVERAIN...is ACTIVEGAIN...yes?
Hi there Mellisa Marro (MM)...Perhaps they have journeyed to the comment zone (next to the twilight zone) da da da da
Terri...a Big YES to your comment. I have seen and heard things and I know those people making those sights and sounds will be hearing from their own conscience soon enough. It is my wish they don't continue on therefore compounding the problems at work...Terri, in today's society, a lot of people act out what authority figures layed on them (parents teachers etc) when growing up...One day, they will discover...that ain't them and then true life will begin to enter in
Bob...I join you in laughing first at myself and then when others.... faux pax....There go I rings true
People will be people, and not all people will be nice people. When you look at newspaper blogs for example and comments there, comparing them to the dialogue here on AR, it is much more professional and fun here!
Mitch...what a valid point and observation...I agree..Fun is a subjective thing...But it appears that AR participators are in agreement on that subject....Best to you Mitch
Great info. fortunately I have rarely if ever engaged in any derogatory or inflammatory dialog with anyone online and even more fortunately have received very few if any like comments back. if I happen across a post I don't agree with I try to choose my words very carefully. But no one's perfect and there will be those days I'm sure. However, what you said about what you put out there online is absolutely true. It will shadow you forever.
Hello John...as a family man, you have a specific mindset at this point and time in your life...I like it and I believe you are part of the solution in whatever you get into or where you go....thank you John
Hi Richie-
My (step) Mother used to say, "You can't take back words". That must have been when I was 7 or 8 and something that I had overheard her say to someone else. It has stuck with me all my life.
Thanks for being willing to read what others, sometimes impolitely, have to say. It's very gracious of you.
--Sara in San Antonio
