Fortune Magazine Predicts Real Estate Prices on the Rise in Southeast Michigan

Fortune Magazine recently put out a list of the top 10 housing markets ready for a fall. Note that NOTHING IN Michigan is on the list. Honestly it is probably because we’ve already ‘been there and done that.’ In Oakland County and South East Michigan we are on the other side of a correction and now other markets are seeing what we experienced in 2006 when we went through it ourselves.

MF ~ That is good news for Michigan and I see Colorado is not on the list. I feel sorry for the folks in the hard hit areas of Las Vegas and California. Florida looks pretty bad too. :(

No need to worry about lil ole Las Vegas. I think the builders have helped us out a bit by cutting down on building as much as they can as fast as they can. In a measly three-four weeks we went from standing inventory a-plenty in the entry level market. Today I found two standing inventory homes in the South/Southwest/Henderson area. Builds are now 6-8 months out. Absolutely amazing. I cant wait for it to trickle into the resale market. I honestly didn't think we would see this quite so soon. Buyers have been coming out of the baseboards like cockroaches since Jan 1
