Sharon & Frank how exiting. Love the positive message HGTV sends about energy efficient homes!
Such a great post, we had them here a while back and I heard it was a wonder experience for all the folks involved
That is so very cool. It will be great to watch to progress.
A couple of years ago Extreme Makeover was in our area and did one of their amazing jobs for a family in need. I took the week off and participated in the process, it was great.
I saw this in the Florida Realtors newsletter. Should be a great project. I wonder if you'll get a chance to list it if the winner doesn't want to stay.
This would be an interesting home to look at once completed. I wonder what the added cost will be and how quickly the return on investment is recaptured.
Talk about panic mode if you lose your smart phone. It's one thing to lose your contacts and calendar, quite another to lose the ability to get into your home. The more dependent we become on one device to do so much, the scarier the idea of losing it or it breaking becomes.
Endre, wish I knew how to get their video on this posts - they say they're taking it to the next level - can't wait to see what HGTV does!
Joyce, it will be really fun to watch them here as well!
Joe, Extreme Makeover was just here last year! It was incredible!!
LOL, Gabe, now that would be a great listing and I love your attitude :)
Gary, return on investment as far as energy savings? That's a great question! I'll try to remember to ask if I get near enough to do so :)
Chris Ann, yes it takes losing your phone to a whole new level, doesn't it?
Frank & Sharon - That is so cool and I would love to control my home from my phone.
Good morning, Sharon and Frank ---- great publicity for Jacksonsville!
Frank & Sharon, and or Sharon & Frank ~ When there's great information being given-out, (like this blog), others do better, guess what, others are now doing better. There's nothing better than learning and doing better. Great post!
Michelle, wouldn't that be great? No more wondering, did I leave the doors unlocked, did I leave the garage door open?
Michael, this is definitely great publicity for Jacksonville!
Jon, there is nothing like being in the know about your city, that's for sure!
Sounds like it will be fun to watch the construction of the HGTV home! The home automation is really a nice treat.
