Expectations vs. Reality!!!

Yesterday, my daughter Laura celebrated her 17th birthday!

And, as is typical with us, we decided to celebrate her special day in a "not so traditional" manner!

No birthday cards. No pizza party. No birthday hats.

Nope. That's not how we roll!

But, we did decide to make our own "cake".

The Expectation...

Expectation!

The Reality!

Reality!

Let's just say that the expectation vs. the reality was something we both had a huge laugh over... and something that we won't soon forget!

All in all, it was a fun and laughter filled day.

We'll try again this weekend as the birthday celebration continues!

No, the cake we made, did not meet our expectations!
