Mardi Gras Magic
The green, gold and purple beads and costumes of Mardi Gras take over the Salt River during this annual event. Employees line dance and give out beads and T-shirts. Drivers transform their buses into floats with Cajun music and riotous decorations. It's also the weekend before Arizona State University starts the fall semester, so this is traditionally a "welcome back" party for students.
