So Many Spectacular Orchids on One Stalk

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with iTexas Realty Co.

I valiantly attempt love to , grow flowering house plants in San Antonio,
Texas.  I have a notorious "Black Thumb", so I have every confidence that you can grow these, too.

I just love the long-term look in my home and  seeing the plant, buds and blooms change by the week (I'm too busy to see it every day!)

This Phalaenopsis orchid has been a joy to Steve and me for weeks!

I also have a black thumb and really don't like to get flowers and watch them die.  I was given one of these 3 months ago and had someone else look after it.  It is just now dying.  They are amazing plants, and if you look after them they last....

Hi Jane-

So great to hear from you (and about your Black Thumb).  I always knew that you and I had tons in common.  Try and try again.....

Beautiful picture of your orchids. I hear the new breeds are easier to grow than they used to be, but I have never tried them.

Sara, Those are gorgeous flowers!  We don't have much luck with green stuff either!

Hi Than-

You should give them a try.  They do like some bright, indirect light and finding the right spot takes practice!

Tony and Darcy-

How great to see you two!  I have 3 out of 3 orchids alive right now, 2 in bloom.  It's simply amazing to me! Maybe they are the right plant for the black thumb crowd?
