Shred Days in Katy Texas
Shred Days in Katy Texas will be held on Saturday August 25, 2012 from 9 AM until 12 PM. The idea is bring boxes and bags full of unwanted papers, documents, bills, junk mail, magazines and whatever to First Victoria Bank and they will shred all of these documents for you. The cost is a minimum donation of $10. First Victoria is easy to find as it is located at 5005 S. Mason Road Katy Texas and is at the corner of Fry Road and Mason and caddy corner to Beck Junior High School.
The really cool part in my mind is that all proceeds from this shredding operation will be given to the “Impact a Hero “charitable organization. This group helps severely wounded service men and women. In their own words taken from their web site: “ Impact A Hero is a non-partisan 501(c) (3) organization, created to provide a simple mechanism for individuals and corporations to help provide emotional and financial support for our severely wounded /disabled War on Terror veterans and their families. Donations are tax-deductible.”
I am writing this blog in penalty of time for folks to gather up all those files and get rid of them. You will be cleaning up your home and helping wounded heroes who really do need our help. Unfortunately our government does not provide the assistance it should to these wounded heroes. This is a total win and win situation for all participants. I have numerous old files in both my garage and study that need to be shred and this is the perfect opportunity to get rid of this mess and help these folks out. I hope to see you there.
