I am terrified of the dentist office. Even when I am not the patient. But today I'm thankful for them. You see on Wednesday my sweet Donald came to the conclusion that this tooth ache of his wasn't going to go away on it's on. I got him an appointment for an evaluation on Thursday, but his work wouldn't give him time off for the dental appointment. They did give him time to make a two minute phone call to cancel it. So our dentist office that is open on Saturdays not only fit in him for the appointment to get his root canal done. Yup. Crown in place, done. Finished. It took about an hour and half. The endodontist was nice.
His appointment wasn't until 11:15 and I had some stuff to get done at my office this morning so we headed out at 9 and stopped at the office for me to check over a newly signed contract, assign to leads that came in over night and check my emails. Got it all wrapped up in about an hour and drove him to The Dental Care Center in Macon. It's one stop shopping. General dentistry, periodontists, orthodontist, endodontists and oral surgeons. I hope we don't need anymore of their "specialists", but it is great to know that when as a patient of the dentists on staff we have a toothache emergency they will work us in. We've tried other dentists' offices over the years and never found this level of care.
My Donald is in his drugged up state on the sofa sleeping right now. I am about to take the doggies to walk. I am hoping in a few days he'll be feeling good as new. He's really pitiful when he is in pain. But if you live anywhere in the central Georgia area I highly recommend the Dental Care Center on Mercer University Drive. 478-755-8366. Awesome is the word I would use to describe them. And you have to realize that coming from me, who has a highly un-rational fear of all dentist offices that is really high praise.
