Videolicious - Think of it as Animoto on the go.
Funny, I just stopped by Debb Jan's blog to have her whisper a little ol' video secret in my ear and was delighted to find this video help! For all of you agents that are smart enough to be using video in your business, here is a little help from my friend!
Now, go over and say; "HI" to Debb and while you are there don't forget to subscribe to her blogs. She is amazing!
Videolicious - Animoto on the Go
Videolicious is designed to allow us to produce quick and professional looking videos without any editing expertise. Videolicious for the iPhone and iPad walks you through a step by step process of combining video footage, photos and music. You can even add a voice-over. Once all of the elements are in place, the technology works its magic and produces a nifty little video in less than 60 seconds.
If you think it's similar to the technology used in Animoto, you are right. And much like Animoto, Videolicious has its place. Founder Matt Singer says the app is designed for those who want to get the best possible results in the least amount of time. For Real Estate professionals, it would be a great tool for producing a video on the go to share with buyers.
The relaunched Videolicious is getting good reviews by its users, but it's not designed to replace more sophisticated movie editing software such as iMovie and Final Cut. It is, however, a great launching point for those professionals who are reluctant to spend the time necessary to produce videos for their business.
Videolicious for On-the-Go Real Estate Professionals
It seems to be a good option ( much like Animoto) for someone to produce decent videos without any expertise. In other words, the learning curve for Videolicious is non-existent. The technology is based on templates, and much like Animoto, the cookie-cutter technology might become all too familiar to viewers.
Videolicious does seem to deserve a spot in your bag of marketing tools. Especially for Real Estate professionals, the ability to produce a home tour video on the go makes good sense. However, if you want to produce videos longer than 60 seconds, you're going to have to upgrade.
In my opinion, in order for you to fully utilize the benefits of Videolicious in your Real Estate business, you will need to purchase the Business or Business Plus package. Keep in mind, if your long-term goal is to produce customized videos, then learning a more sophisticated movie editing program should also be part of your plans.
