70 Comments on Senior Citizen Discounts You Have to Ask For!
Margaret,
Quite an amazing list you've put together, and a lot of work. I would like to share it with others, a valuable reblog for sure. Thank you!
Hi Margaret, thanks for shaing a fabulous list of discounts for "seniors".
I will be sure to share them with my clients.
Have an awesome day in all you do.
Margaret: I know this list is for discounts for "seniors." I sure hope it's for senoritas, as well... LOL.
Margaret- I am so sharing this with my friends I walk with at Green Cay in the morning.
that's an amazing list, Margaret. I'd like to share this with my newsletter readers, many of whom are Seniors; others have parents!
Well that's pretty awesome. Like every body else, I'm going to share it, too.
But, I notice there is one very big one missing:
50% off at ActiveRain for 65+
(Well, a-hem, I happen to be 65+)
But then I wouldn't be getting all those discounts you listed, without Active Rain. So that kinda counts.
this is an awesome list - congrats on the feature :)
Pease continue to add other places. Asking for the discount is what has to be done to find out if there is one offered.
Wow, thanks for the list! I will definitely send to my parents, in-laws and of course, my senior clients. I'm not quite there myself yet but gives me one more thing to look forward to!
WOW - what a great list. And as a baby boomer flirting with senior citizen status, I was thrilled to find I qualify for a discount at Chick-Fil-A - my grandkids and I practically live there so I will definitely be checking into that, as well tweeting this and, if I can figure out how, reblogging it. Thank you so much. :)
Jean, You are welcome and thanks for sharing.
Kaye, Thanks for the reblog and I enjoyed talking with you tonight. My hubby also loves Chick-Fil-A.
Great list! I am going to do a list of places locally that offer a military discount. (my husband is medically retired Army) Thanks for the inspiration!
Debi, What a great idea!
What a fabulous list! Thank you Margaret. I must re-blog because this information is so awesome.
May 2013 be your best year yet!
Christina, This was done in the summer. I bet there are more to add. But you do have to remember to ask for the discounts.
Thank you for sharing. I've sent to my Dad...he will be thrilled! He looks for every possible deal, LOL!
Thank you so much for sharing! I'm going to adjust the list to our area stores and repost on our website, gladly giving you the credit for ALL your hard work!
Sharon, These are useful for so many people. They do have to remember to ask.
Robert, That is a good idea.
Margaret: Several times it has been mentioned that to get these discounts... that you have to "ask." I think this is a good thing. I would think it would be a safe guess to make that those who are very much in need would be the ones who would bring themselves to ask about a senior discount. But also, that way, those who were not in need... well, even the idea of asking would probably not come to mind for them. I am not sure if I am making sense here. ??
But that way, the store... and I will use a grocery store for an example... but that way... only the ones who are much more in need will inquire about the discount, and of course, they will then get... the discount. That allows more of those who need the discount to have more of it available to them, and those who don't need it... that just allows the idea to benefit those in need. (I feel I am talking in circles here. Again, does this make sense?)
Ya know... there are even times when I myself cannot understand what the heck I'm talking about... LOL. Happy Tuesday!
The scary part of this, Karen, is that I do understand exactly what you are saying.
