Kwee: It looks much more like a variation of the Palm Tree...what an interesting looking root system too.
Good morning, kwee..... I would never have guessed that were a species of a pine....
Kwee, i had to giggle at first...learn something new everyday!
Hi Anita & Barbara, screw pine is not a pine but a tropical tree. The root system reminds me of the mangrove.
I don't believe I've ever seen that kind of pine tree! I have seen Yew Pines, which look similar! The very top photo looks more like a Palm of some sort. But you can already see it is starting to twist at the base of the fronds. Very interesting, Kwee!
Hi Ginny, it is nice to learn something new everyday.
Hi Myrl, in Malaysia - my home country, there are found around the beaches along the coast.
I've seen these around here Kwee, but never knew about them. Thanks for the info.
Kwee, You have such interesting tropical plants in Venice FL and we enjoy looking at the scenery...
Good morning Kwee. Doesn't look like any of the pines here in Michigan. Nice to see what other areas look like.
Such an interesting tree, Kwee. Hope your having a great Sunday!
Kwee, I've never seen a screw pine tree. It's most unusual! Thank you for sharing!
Kwee, definitely not like OUR pine trees, that are Christmas trees! Fun photos for Sunday - enjoy your day my friend!
Kwee,
That looks like a palm tree to me. I had to stop by and see your Sunday blog. I hope you are having a great weekend and an even better week!
I would not have guessed that this is a pine tree.
Have a wonderful week with your camera in hand.
Hi Kwee,
I have never seen a pine three that looked like that. Thanks for showing us such an unique tree.
Kwee,
It very much looks like a mangrove with its root system. Nice shots. :)
