SweetFrog Premium Frozen Yogurt

Don't know what SweetFrog is? Give it a few weeks and you will probably find out! SweetFrog Premium Frozen Yogurt, founded in Richmond by Derek Cha and his wife Annah Kim, offers some of the best frozen yogurt and toppings bar that I have ever encountered. (And I would know, I am an ice cream/frozen yogurt addict!)
SweetFrog Premium Frozen Yogurt opened it's doors in 2009 with a single Richmond shop offering an assortment of self-serve flavors with non-fat, low-fat, gluten-free, and sugar-free options. The toppings bar is expansive with something for every craving, including: M&M's, Kit-Kats, Snickers, Oreo's, fresh fruit, granola, cereal, gummy bears, hot fudge, and list goes on!
As story has it, Derek and his wife Annah had been doing a lot of soul searching praying for a business opportunity in which they could create a great family-friendly atmosphere and have some fun, even in an uncertain economy. Eventually SweetFrog presented itself and the name is very telling of the story: Sweet "Fully Rely On God" Frog.
It didn't take long for the SweetFrog craze to sweep the nation with over 100 franchises in over 15 states in operation and even a South Korea location! New stores are constantly being added, so be sure to keep your eye out for a location near you!
In addition to offering yummy flavors such as, Apple Pie, Cake Batter, Cookies & Cream, Carrot Cake, Dulce De Leche, Mango, Key Lime Pie, Red Velvet, Snickerdoodle, and everything in-between, you can also purchase SweetFrog Premium Frozen Yogurt swag like stuffed animal frogs, T-Shirts, and more!

I visited SweetFrog last night and inhaled a mint/chocolate concoction with granola...and I had it again today, this time opting for Chocolate/Coconut with granola. (Told you I was addicted!) My children enjoyed cotton candy with sour patch worms and traditional vanilla with M&M's. As for my husband...well, he fills his cup with very little frozen yogurt so that he has plenty of room for toppings!

No sweet frog around here... Would be nice to have one in this neck of the woods, sounds wonderful.
Well, hopefully one will open near you soon! This is the little shop that could with so many locations in such a short amount of time. And it doesn't matter the time of year, the shops are always packed!
Shannon, next time I'm in the Richmond area, I will have to look up the SweetFrog Premium Frozen Yogurt and give it a try. Sounds wonderful!!!
David - you don't have to come to Richmond...you are in Fairfax, correct? I believe there is one in Brambleton in Ashburn and maybe one in Fair Oaks Mall ;)
No Sweet Frog around here but I am now addicted to SO Coconut desserts. The little fudge popsicles are awesome and I only have to walk to my frig to get them. At only 80 calories I don't feel guilty enjoying one a day!
Paula, there are several Texas locations...not sure if any are close to you: http://sweetfrogyogurt.com/locations
Never had the So Coconut desserts but now you have me wanting to try them!

Hi Shannon, what a delighful name for a business. I hope they locate to
Boca Raton, Florida.
I also love yogurt. I do make my own yogurt.
Shannon - Yummy, yummy, yummy, I would love to to visit SweetFrog and try some of their frozen yogurt.
Gretchen - with the way they are expanding, it wouldn't surprise me if they show up in your area soon! Check out the locations link and you will see just how many are in the works!
Irene - There are PLENTY in the works for Florida, but I didn't see on in Boca...but it is only a matter of time. Some resident will take one bite and then get a franchise, lol!
Michelle- It is so good! And they charge you by the ounce...like .41 cents per ounce...so usually the four of us get a great deal for about $10. Fun family outing.
