With summer almost gone -- thank goodness -- in Austin, Texas people are coming out of the air conditioning and life is happening. 

This weekend, Austin Fashion Week wrapped and it was a huge success -- same with The Austin Home and Garden Show (all indoors of course). 

Now it's time to turn our attention to some of the outdoor events coming up and one of my favorite in the Texas Monthly BBQ Festival.  The event will be held Downtown Austin, September 23 from 1 to 5 p.m., at the City Terrace at the Long Center.  While some of our Downtown events are cumbersome due to PARKING, this one is not.  Plenty of parking, food, music and fun.
