"Discount Tire Company" - Local Business on the Kitsap Peninsula

By
Real Estate Agent with Fathom Realty West Sound WA State 52404

Is there EVER a good time for a flat tire? It's happened to all of us at some time or another. And it always seems to happen at the most inopportune time and place, right? You're cruisin' around out in the middle of absolute NOWHERE and "POP!" your tire blows! (This is when you discover that your spare is also flat or is missing altogether)

After walking several miles in the blazing Sahara, you find the closest local gas station, "Jimmy Joe Bob's Friendly Gas & Repair." Jimmy turns out to be a 300 pound WWF reject who is anything BUT friendly, and informs you that the only tire within 100 miles will cost an arm, a leg, and your first-born child.

Well, if you're a newcomer to the Kitsap Peninsula, your tire troubles are finally over!

Welcome to the Discount Tire Company!

Located in East Bremerton, in the Fred Meyer Shopping Plaza, the Discount Tire Company offers superior service and selection. With over 600 stores in 18 states, Discount Tire Company is the world's largest independent tire and wheel retailer. Founded in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 1960 by Bruce Halle, the Discount Tire Company is the classic tale of one man's vision, faith, and hard work. He grew his "one-man" operation into one of today's most successful and recognized names in retail tire sales & service.

Visit any Discount Tire Company store and you'll quickly realize the reason for Mr. Halle's legacy of success. Prompt, attentive service and excellent savings make the Discount Tire Company the smart choice for your next tire purchase.

Their motto may say they're "The Low Price Leader!" but they'll treat you like a million bucks!

And look at that photo, how spiffy the shop looks! Very nice! Right up there with car repairs for needed services, lucky for Kitsap you are wading through and finding all the right places!

Hawaii Real Estate

I know it wouldnt be cost effective for me to drive to Bremerton from Hawaii nor would it be possible.  I had a similar experience in Colorado Springs, CO when I used to live there.  The Discount Tire Center on Powers Boulevard provided the same experience for me.  The gentlemen were friendly and the price was fair.  They must have been good......I still remember that and it was over 5 years ago.

Carole - exactly! Just trying to make the relocation process a little bit easier for new residents!

George - thanks, man! I always value your thoughts and opinions. Your series on 1st Time Buyers seminars is a HUGE hit. Great stuff!

Shari - maybe they'll give you a special discount?

David & Tonya - I've heard similar stories from people who have been to other locations. So it's kinda like McD's...you alwyas know what you're gonna get!

Randy - gee, your car got wet? And you live in Hawaii? Liquid Sunshine. Fancy that!  :)

They used to have a great commercial about their satisfaction guarantee where an old lady threw a tire through their huge front window. I'm just about due to see them myself. Thanks for the reminder, hope I get there voluntarily!

I, too, enjoy featuring local businesses when they do a great job!  Had a local Mom & Pop hamburger joint ask me if I'm the one who wrote about them on the internet (my blog) .  They loved that!

Agree. Fantastic service.  We eventually went with another place because they were cheaper(offering a coupon that DT was not), but DT gave the second lowest price. I know they would have matched, but I hate playing that game.
