I've been trying to transition myself to a "morning person" for a while now...unsuccessfully.

This morning, my husband needed to be somewhere very early, so it was a great chance for me to jump start and force my transition.  While out and about here in Auburn Maine, I finally got to see what morning looks like.  I think I could get used to this.

Good morning Kristen,

Hard to break habits; now you will have to find a cranberry bog for the next picture.

Make yourself a great day.

Good morning Kristen - with mornings like that, I'd be out of bed before dawn every day!

What a beautiful morning.  I didn't get up today until 7:30..........almost three hours late.  Was in the restaurant business for years, so was always a night person until I got a 9 to 5 job............changed everything.  Now I'm semi-retired and wake up somewhere around 4:30 every morning and love it.

I know it's not until tomorrow, but Happy Birthday!

Many happy returns of the day!

Good morning Kristine. I love the picture and your attitude. For me, aside from getting up with dogs, it came naturally. I guess you are still too young. Enjoy the day and Happy Birthday tomorrow.

That looks a bit like our lake that we have a membership to, and I love in the wee early morning hours the fog rises off the lake, but you have to get up WAY early for that. ;) I've always been a morning person.

Kristen,

Mornings can be a beautiful time of day.  Actually we should all, at least once, get up early, grab that cup of coffee or tea and watch the sun come up and a new day begin.  It can be quite uplifting - even through sleeping eyes.

Kristen~ I'm not much of a morning person either, never have been.  Your photo is beautiful, but I'm not sure if it's reason enough for me to get up early!  LOL!

LOL Wallace!  I've had dogs all my life except for the past 2 years, but I guess they learned my ways and were night owls too.  I've spent most of my adult life with geriatric dogs and sometimes I had to wake them up.  They would look up at me as of to say "Come on...just 5 more minutes."

So true Raymond.  I'll see if I can find one.  :-)

Wayne & Jean:  It is nice.  I don't think I ever fully appreciated morning.

Thank you Roger!  Kudos to you for sleeping "late" once.  My mother is a morning person and used to wake us up at what I felt was the crack of dawn...even on saturday.  I think I'm over it now and I can stop fighting and go ahead and enjoy it.

Thank you Sheila for saying I am too young. :-)  I've never had early morning dogs, but from what you and Wallace have said it sounds like it is time for me to get another dog to help with the transition.  That would be a fun way to do it.

Lynda:  We do get a lot of morning mist and fog here in Maine.  The river that runs alongside out town is in a bit of a valley, so it does make it quite beautiful in the morning.  I've always been drawn to the quiet of the night.  Now I just have transfer that to the quiet of the morning.

Agreed Dorie.  Sunrise has elluded me for a long tiime.  Now I see the attraction.

I hear you Donna.  It has been a battle for me.  I used to get the bulk of my computer work done after midnight.  I've had to turn my computer off in the evenings to stop myself and try to transition that same energy to the morning.

The colors are fantastic!  Morning is such a peaceful time and while I do love my sleep, those precious morning moments are worth it.  Grab a coffee and enjoy the time.

Good suggestion Kerrie.  If I'm going to do this morning thing, I'm certainly going to need plenty of coffee.  :-)

Kristen, I am afraid the only way I could be up at early enough to share the dawn with some "morning person" folks... would be if I was still awake from the night before... from sitting here reading posts and writing comments.

Oh... if I only had a life... LOL.

The Androscoggin River really looks great.  I would love to see you do a video on it.  Have you done any ?

I thought I remembered some video of you... talking... and mentioning the "mighty Androscoggin" as it flowed by behind you.

LOL Karen Anne!  I've done the stay up until dawn thing more frequently than getting up early.  I'm still working on it.

I do have a lot of photos of the Androscoggin.  I agree, time for a new video.  You can't escape the river here, it is our constant backdrop.  :-)
