We had a listing appointment Saturday with the sweetest couple we have ever met. They have been married for over 50 years, and have lived in their home for 41 years. It's time for them to sell and move into an apartment.
After we viewed the home, talked about price, and went over the paperwork, the husband asked me to come outside and look at a few things with him. Some of those things included a 1974 Corvette Stingray, a 20 year old bass boat, and a classic Wheel Horse lawn mower. There were many other items, but those were the highlights.
He asked me if I wanted to buy them. As much as I loved the Stingray, it just isn't in the budget right now.
Then he asked me if I knew anybody that would want them. Personally I didn't, but suggested that he put them on Craigslist and see if he could sell them there. He gave me a confused look and said that he has never even touched a computer. :)
Today we are going to put a sign in the yard and take some pictures of their home... and then some pictures of all of his items for sale. As my wife is uploading the listing, I am going to be placing these items he has for sale on Craigslist and my Facebook pages.
What do we get for doing this? Nothing besides the satisfaction of helping someone in need.
Well, that and he said that if I sell his Vette he is going to let me drive it first!!
