23 Comments on Lebanon Hosts 30th Annual Country Applefest September 29 2012!
Beth, This event is run by a non-profit group, and they do a great job of putting on the event. Between 30-40,000 people attend each year.
John, That's too bad! I'm betting the drought hasn't helped our crops out this year.
Jerry, Irons Fruit Farm makes some great apple fritters, big too!
Country Applefest in Lebanon sounds like a great time for the whole family. It's a lot like our Applefest that takes place the first full weekend in October.
Looks like a Red Eye is brewing..You know when you actually look at an apple, it is a wondrous well put together food
BLiz..YUM ME!!! I would love to attend the 30th Annual Country Applefest in Lebanon OH. Lots of good food and the event is free.
Debbie, It's definitely a family friendly event (except for maybe the walking that will wear out the kids...oh wait, that's a good thing!).
Richie, And there will be a variety of apple types there too!
Anita, Definitely some tasty choices at this festival. Just another reason why Lebanon is a great place to call home.
I LOVE an applefest. Not many apples here in Florida. :(
Chris and Dick, But on the flip side you don't see us having OrangeFest :)
The 30th Annual Country Applefest serms to offer a lot of things to enjoy. Hope it will be a gigantic success and everyone will have a great time.
Betty
Liz and Bill,
I can almost smell the cinnamon and nutmeg from those warm apple pies right out of the oven. Apple pies, apple cider, Amish pretzels...sounds like a fun afternoon for sure.
I have to admit that I do miss the fresh squeezed cider from New York State in the Fall.
Apple Cobbler, Apple Crisp.........both winners in my book. Sounds like such a great event. Do you grow Honey Crisps down there? My favorite apple.
Betty, Barring a major rainstorm, folks will have a great time :)
Dorie, That time of year the weather is beautiful, and it's a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.
Harry, It is good stuff!
Roger, I think they may, but not absolutely sure. The local markets have a pretty good variety offered.
If you like apples tart and crispy, try them if you can find them..................Fuji's were my favorite until I discovered Honey Crisp.
Roger, I'm sure I've seen them, just not sure where.
Thanks for the local update!
Andy, Just following the footsteps of our role model in the upper right hand corner of the country :)
Oh, this sounds like Delicious Fun! Great event for the whole community.
Bobbie, It's a fun event. Went down last year, took some pictures, had a yummy apple fritter, listened to some tunes and just enjoyed the afternoon :)
BLiz- anyone wanting to learn how to write a good local post would do well to read any of yours. I love "apple" anything (although, I guess with the coming of apples means an end to peaches). Have fun!!!
Kathy, It helps to write from first hand experience, and in this case we've been there, got our own photos and know the parking deal and how great some of the food is :)
