We have experience to awesomeness of ballooning but wow.... I'd love to ride in one of these old planes. My Dad owned a personal small plane and I have some great memories of flying with him. I dreamed of being a Pilot but let me teenager stupidity get in the way of my goal.
John - they do sell rides in these mosters. Every year I think about it but have yet to take a ride.
Charlie, this is something I would love to attend if I lived anywhere near Colorado! That C-47 pictured has the D-DAY white identification stripes painted on it! How did your area do with all those awful wildfires that got out of control, Charlie?

No big fires around Steamboat. Many small ones that were controlled after a day. I think it's because the terrain here is not as rugged and thus easier to fight.
