Kathy:
I also blogged about her death. She started here career as a stand up comedian in San Francisco at the Purple Onion and lived in Alameda when she started performing. We love her.
Good afternoon Kathy. I used to love watching Phyllis Diller. That laugh was one of a kind. She has given so much for so long I am sure there is a special place in heaven for her.
I agree! She was one of the first comedians I remember who poked fun at herself!
Evelyn, I do remember reading that too.
Randy, I agree.
Debra, I think that is why she was so likeable.
She was an amazing gal.....and will be missed. I loved her humor and how she made everybody LOL!
I remember watching her when I was a kid. She was one funny lady. All the great true entertainers are dieing off at a pretty fast pace.
Kathy: We are losing so many of the entertainers we have enjoyed over the years. She was one funny lady.
Anna, she was talented!
Jeanne and Ralph I agree!
Anita - yes too many too fast.
Glad she had a peaceful passing. She made people laugh at her and themselves.
Kathy...
My wife told me about this, Ms. Diller has been entertaining for as long as I can remember, and she will be missed.
Carolyn, she did do that!
Richard, who could ever forget those crazy outfits she would wear.
Kathy -- Phyllis Diller definitely paved the road to many women in the comedy stand-up field with her humor, outlook and outfits. She seems to have lived a happy and full life. RIP Phyllis Diller
Michael, I believe she did.
