Phyllis Diller died today at age 95.  She was another Hollywood legend that made us laugh.  I remember her from her own show and appearances on others.  She was never afraid to be herself or tell it like it was.  Her gift was creating jokes that appealed to a broad age range in her audience.  

She was a pioneer in the entertainment industry and made the way for many other female comedians.  I think my favorite was the one liners she would come up as her answer on the popular game show, "Hollywood Squares."

I also blogged about her death.  She started here career as a stand up comedian in San Francisco at the Purple Onion and lived in Alameda when she started performing.  We love her.

I remember watching her when I was a kid.  She was one funny lady.  All the great true entertainers are dieing off at a pretty fast pace.
