There was a story on the front page of the Missoulian (http://www.missoulian.com/articles/2007/11/04/news/local/news02.txt) just before Thanksgiving announcing that Mineral County was No. 1 hottest county for land in the United States! This story reported on the growth spurt that Mineral County is experiencing and how Mineral County was 1st in the nation in September for hits on a popular website Landwatch.com.
In September, there were 28 properties in Mineral County on the website, a relatively sparse number compared to second-place Nicholas County of West Virginia and third-place Calhoun County of Florida. But on the average, more people checked out Mineral County's 28 listings than they did any other county.
As Mineral County Real Estate Specialists and residents, it comes as no surprise. Mineral County is amazing with mountains, rivers, streams, wildlife, and abundant recreational opportunities. There are more than 45 pristine mountain lakes in the County and 82% of land is publicly owned, preserving our lifestyle for years to come.
We have witnessed the growth spurt along with several new subdivisions develop this past year, including The Greens at Cedar Creek. With trout ponds, a nature walking trail, great river views, and lots starting at $39,000, it's no wonder that this area is gaining so much attention.
