I participated in the previous 8 week RainCamp in May and it was wonderful. You think as a Rainmaker that you already know a lot but each course was filled with new things and I found I was taking notes the entire hour.  Bob Smith and Kerrie Greenhalgh were our instructors and we had a few Ambassadors come and talk too. Bob and Kerrie were just filled with new information and ideas. And the classes that I really needed; it all made sense and taught me what I needed to do to make my posts better. Here are just a few of the items I learned:

·       Going back and editing photos after you have submitted your blog, resizing them to make them fit the screen and changing tags later on the photos.

·       Setting your profile up correctly and adding pictures.

·       ActiveRain’s Community Guidelines and Weltanschauung.

·       Making sure you are using your links 3-5 times in each post to get good Google juice.

·       Pages and pages of notes about SEO; this is what I really needed.

·       Learning how to get your picture to show up on 1st page Google search. I had wondered how others did this.

·       Writing better localism posts about the area you work in. Yes, Bob does critique several posts of current members but it is a learning tool.

We were divided into 5 private groups and we could post in our own and I was in the ‘Red Boots group. Every week we were given homework too. Kerrie called it “action items” but it was important things for us to do to become better bloggers.

Since the RainCamp in May 2012, I got a buyer who found me on-line and the deal has already closed. Her comments were “I was looking for an agent in Redlands and your name was everywhere”.
