How often is too often?

By
Home Stager with Staged to Sell
When being asked by a real estate agent to contact one of their clients, how often is too often to call them back.  I was asked by a REA that I work with to contact a client of his regarding getting their home staged, he said they were expecting my call and needed my services.  I called the number he gave me and got an answering machine (with just the original computer recording voice on it).  Do I call back after a few days?  They have yet to return my call (4 days later).  Do I call the real estate agent?  Do I double check that the number is right?  I don't want to seem pushy and in their face, but if the number was wrong or if they didn't get the message I also don't want to seem uninterested/unreliable.  I'm in a pickle here.

Diana ~ If you only called them the one time so far, I would call again after a couple of days have passed, then I would call the agent and let them know you left two messages.

I would try one more time, then let the agent know you have called and haven't heard back. For sure he'll get an answer for you from his clients.

A call back in 1 day is not rude, I would wait two days at most.

Diana: Call them again. If they don't call back in 24 hours, call or email the REA and ask him what he would like you to do. Let him take the lead since they are his clients.

Yes call right away, sometimes you have to be persistent, at least until you talk to a person not the answering.

Diana: It is always a hard to know what a prospect is thinking.  I always find if you can't get them to answer the phone you can usually get them to answer the door.  If you need the business, try knocking.  If you don't, move on to the next prospect.

I call and if I don't hear back in a day I call again. I always let the Realtor know that I have made the effort so they know I am on the ball. They always appreciate it.

I normally call back in  a day or two and then if I don't hear back from them I assume they are not interested.  I would let the Realtor know so they know you followed through and also if the home tries to tell them you didn't call yet they will know the truth.
