Lido Isle a planned community

Have you ever dreamed of living on an island with a boat in front of your home? In a location with great sailing and the perfect climate for a year around lifestyle?

Lido was one of the first master planned communities in Southern California and the first in the United States to have under ground utilities Lido Isle was designed in 1928 but it was well ahead of its time.

The original land plan has stood the test of time, homes are constantly being renewed and new homes replace old. Today two homes of new construction are on the market for sale. This year-to-date, 18 sales have been made in a community of 850-homes. Prices - $1.13 to $6.1 million. The most expensive home on the market, $16.9 million.

For water front homes these prices may not surprize you but how about homes in the interior of the island? Now put these prices into a more clear perspective. These $1.0 million home are built on lots that were designed at 30 feet wide by 88 feet deep. We are speaking about homes on lots as small as 2,640 square feet, some on 3,960 square feet lots and a very few on lots of 5,280 square feet or larger.
