The Texas Reds Steak & Grape Festival comes to Bryan Oct 12 & 13, 2012 with great steak, local wine, live music and local artists' showcases. The Texas Reds Steak & Grape Festival comes to the City of Bryan the weekend of October 12th & 13th.  This is the annual celebration of great Texas steaks, wonderful wine from local Texas wineries, arts and crafts vendors, a showcase of local artists' works and, of course, fantastic live music.  Best of all, admission to this amazing event is absolutely free to the public.

More than 20 local Bryan area wineries will bring their libations to the Texas Reds Steak & Grape Festival this year.  Some of the wineries include the Lone Hen Winery in College Station, the Texas Legato Winery in Lampasas, Pleasant Hill Winery in Brenham, Flat Creek Estate in Marble Falls and Cork This! Winery in Fredericksburg.  Teams of BBQ chefs will be competing at the Texas Reds Steak Cook-Off.

Every Texas Reds Steak & Grape Festival is headlined by a great musical talent. This year's headliner is Roger Creager, a country singer born and raised right here in Texas.  He will be closing out the festival with his performance on the Main Stage on Saturday, October 13th from 9pm to 10:30pm.  Other musical acts will be performing on either one of the two festival stages (North Stage and Main Stage) on both Friday and Saturday evenings.

The deadline to apply for the steak cook-off is Friday, August 31st (download your application here).  So, if you have a team who would like to compete in Bryan's Texas Reds Steak & Grape Festival, you need to apply now.  The entry fee is $250 for a 20' x 30' lot.  It will cost extra for electricity and, if you plan on selling to the Bryan public, you will need to obtain a food service permit.

The 6th Annual Texas Reds Steak & Grape Festival comes to the downtown Bryan area Friday, October 12th, and Saturday, October 13th.  In the short six years from its inception, this festival has quickly become one of the most popular events in the City of Bryan.  It's definitely something you don't want to miss out on.

I have never heard of steak cook-off, but if there was a state that would be perfect for it, it has to be Texas.  Sounds like a lot of fun.
