Keller Williams Realty, Shannon Milligan, Richmond Realtor, Keller Williams Realty Richmond West

It has often been debated as to whether the name of the company a Realtor belongs to has any bearing on the quality of the agent and the outcome they produce. While I have always believed in the merits of an individual agent, no matter what firm they are affiliated with, was of substantial importance, I don't discount that the Brokerage they are working for DOES have a GREAT impact on said agent.

Just this month J.D. Power and Associates released their findings on home buyer and home seller customer satisfaction, naming Keller Williams Realty NUMBER ONE in both categories! I am proud to be a Realtor working under Keller Williams Realty Richmond West and am over-the-moon about this wonderful distinction. There are many things that make Keller Williams Realty stand out from the crowd, including: up-to-date technology enhancements, abundant occasions for continuing education, and creating a culture based on win-win deals. However, it is what the INDIVIDUAL AGENT does with these opportunities that makes them a stand-out, or not, in the Richmond real estate market.

Keller Williams Realty obviously attracts MANY individual agents who share certain qualities, such as: passion for excellence, sheer determination, integrity, and all the other characteristics that define leaders of an industry. Otherwise, Keller Williams would not have achieved these accolades numerous times over the years. The culture breeds success.

So when you are looking to buy or sell a Richmond, VA home, it is imperative to take BOTH the Brokerage Name and the individual agent into consideration when deciding your partner to assist you with one of the largest investments you have ever made - your HOME!

Shannon, you are absolutely right! All of the tools in the world won't help the agent that isn't driven to serve his/her client. Sounds to me like you definitely have that customer service passion and have associated yourself with an organization that prides itself on those values as well. I think buyers and sellers in the Richmond area would be well served to have you working on their behalf! Continued success in 2012.

Congratulations to all at Keller Williams for the customer satisfaction rating.  This is so important when we know that many consumers rank real estate agents at low levels.

Shannon, I must admit that the KW agents get more than their share of listings and sales in our market -  must be a reason for that. If I didn't LOVE working for a small boutique firm - I'd consider a switch.  But, for now, I realize that I suffer not having the franchise name and support - but, I'm plugging away and matching them in customer service for those clients I do enjoy. :)

Ken - I appreciate that! I do love the customer service aspect that I bring to my business...must be that working my way through college as a manager at Williams Sonoma, lol!

Roy - Thank you!

Debb - I love working under Keller Williams, but I can see the appeal of a smaller brokerage as well. And, as I mentioned, it really comes down to the individual agent and what they do with what they have been given. And it seems you have customer service in spades ;)

I was at KW when they were number 4 or 5.  They finally made it to No. 1.  Congratulations.

Jane - I think they made the cut a a few years ago as well (2010?), but I don't think it was on both sides.

Michelle - It's nice to see the company recognized, but as I mentioned in the post...it all comes down to an individual agent at any brokerage and what they do with what they are given!

I re-titled this post to better reflect what I was trying to say :)

Congratulations on the kudos to Keller Williams!   Still think a company will not be working with the client --- it is the agent!

Joan - that's what I am saying :)  Keller Williams is awesome at giving us the tools we need to succeed, but it is really up to the individual agent to take those tools and put them to great use.
