Seller to Realtor: "I was afraid that you were going to dump me!"

I just met one of my terrific clients this evening for business dinner. We discussed the local market and the country's economy as it relates to real estate.

It was a great open meeting. We discussed her house, competition, and our own interpretation on things including why isn't her home selling. After the frank discussion, we concluded that there aren't enough buyers out there ready to make the move from perhaps fence sitting to buying because of several factors. Factors such as the unpredictability of the market, oil prices, etc.

We brain stormed on what's OUR next step. We've got some creative juices flowing and will research some ideas and then go into implementation to attract those few buyers to make the move.

During the latter part of our wondeful meeting, she said that she was worried that I was going to dump "her" [listing]. I was surprised to hear her say that. I assured her that I've been giving it all and I WILL continue to do what ever is necessary to sell her townhome on the golf course on Padre Island!

With our self assurances to each other, we will move forward to battle and embrace the market and work towards selling her home!
