About the Orange Hunt Neighborhood
Orange Hunt Estates was first established in 1967 and has approximately 700 detached homes on ¼ to 1/3 acre wooded lots. The community has an active Civic Association and Welcoming Committee to help new residents learn about the amenities in the neighborhood. There are a variety of home styles in the neighborhood including 3 level colonials, split levels, raised ramblers and bi-levels. Most homes are brick and siding and over the years owners have added additions to the homes in keeping with the original style.
Orange Hunt Estates Location
The main entrance to the community is off of Old Keene Mill Road on Huntsman Boulevard about a mile from the intersection of Rolling Road. Sydenstricker Road bisects the neighborhood and Orange Hunt Estates can also be reached off the Fairfax County Parkway. The neighborhood is less than 10 miles to the gates of Fort Belvoir and NGA.
It is less than 5 miles to either the HOV entrance to I-95 off of Fairfax County Parkway or the regular north south lanes of I-95 off of Keene Mill Road.
Metro Bus routes run directly through the neighborhood (18H) and the Sydenstricker Commuter lot is a great place to catch a ride into DC via one of the Northern Virginia “slug lines.” The Franconia-Springfield Metro Station is within 5 miles

The community offers membership in the Orange Hunt pool and tennis courts. Residents enjoy access to Pohick Stream Valley Park, Hidden Valley Nature Center and Huntsman Lake. All provide walking and biking trails. For the more adventures the Pohick Valley Stream Park connects to the 40-mile Fairfax County Cross Country Trail.
