59 Comments on How To Use Facebook To Increase Your Business. I'm Being Serious This time.
Hey - that is pretty cool - I have an account, but frankly, I use video far more than FB... Just not my cup of tea, I'm sure if I did it more it would work.
Then again, now I have to go take a look at your page...
I scratch my head and wonder about that when people tell me that FB does not work for business because it most certainly has worked to get me business. I mean the only thing I can think of is that they are not engaging at all? Do you suppose it is because they are to much of a hard sell and it turns off people? Anyway it works for me! :)
Jared - These are great tips. I really need to improve my level of intereaction on FB. I just need to find a bit more time in the day. Maybe my new asst can help me - either by doing some of this or by taking other work off my plate.
We've also generated a good percentage of our closed sales via Facebook - I rarely post after 9 pm. I'm done working and imagine every one else is too - but your post made me rethink that. When I can't sleep or need a distraction, I often turn to FB for a minute or two at night. Thanks for the suggestion!
I have gotten a lot of business from FB and encourage it. I too post a shout out each morning to start the day at about 6:30. Then at lunch time and early evening. Maybe I need to re adjust my commenting time there as well.
Everything needs tweeking. Hey I wanted to suggest this post but can't find the suggest button any more does anyone know where it went to?
Norma: Great job! I love it too.
Pat & Steve: Glad I could help.
Kathy: Kick it right in the pants!
Melissa: It's funny. People think I'm on all day. I'm really not. It doesn't take up THAT much time. Good luck!
Joan: I just do it on my personal page. I just use my personality to connect. I don't have any links to share besides the one I shared about my business page. It's just interaction and connection. Feel free to give me a call and we can chat, or find me and send me a friend request.
Terkel: I saw your featured blog about videos. It inspired me to do one yesterday on my fan page. :)
Rosalie: Probably. I have seen agents put up nothing but listings, and do nothing but ask for business. ZZZZZ. Sounds like you have a good handle on it.
Debbie: Twenty minutes here, twenty minutes there... You got this. :)
Norma: Right on! Do your thing!
Wayne and Jean: We have no kids at home, two dogs, and we both sell real estate and spend a lot of time together. Normally in the evenings I am up in my office getting my space. It's the perfect time to do it. I once posted at 11:30 and I hit a totally different crowd than my normal 7:30 or 8:30 crowd. Hell, one time I couldn't sleep so I logged on at about 3:00 am. I posted "Anybody else have trouble sleeping???" I got over 100 responses.
Sussie: I think if you are doing it and it is working, keep doing what you're doing. The suggest button is gone because this was featured already. Thank you!!
I have been on Facebook for a while but only recently (maybe one month ago) started interacting in the ways you have suggested and I'm starting to get the feel of it. I keep reminding myself to be subtle and natural. We'll see . . .
You definitely have the right approach with Facebook. Every Wednesday or Thursday, I post a photo of a staged house or a unique looking house and I get tons of engagement. That way they see what else I have been up to and start paying attention to my real estate training courses.
I agree that Facebook is a great marketing tool. The more exposure you have the better! Out of sight, out of mind!!! Great ideas to always throw some humor into your posts. The same old boring posts will just lead your connections to hide your posts. Thanks for the tips!
Karen: Way to go Karen! You are right! It's al about connection.
Margaret: You got this! Keep up the good work and remember, it doesn't happen instantly. It took me years to develop my "strategy".
Gabrielle: I think I might start doing the same thing if you don't mind.
Tammy: People love humor! Glad I could help. :)
I like the tips you put in there. They're very true! Facebook is one of the tools to get in touch with people. I enjoy reading updates from my friends and I only post something when I find it valuable and interesting.
Thank you for sharing.
Great post! "Be yourself" yeah, I totally agree. Thanks for the tips and for sharing your secrets in using facebook.Good job!
Agreed... you don't have to be a "In Your Face" real estate agent on Facebook.
Thanks for the real tips. I know posting more listings is still the best use of Facebook. :-)
Enjoyed your post. My assistant keeps up my Facebook appearance for me. I rarely go in there.
