Invest in YOUR OWN.
Having had dream homes in my life of being a long-time single gal—prior to meeting my wonderful husband--(any home I owned felt that way and Fishhawk Lake Real Estate is no exception), and having rented skuzzy icky places, I have realized that being a homeowner brings such incredible rewards that I want to ALWAYS give people the hope to make that happen, first-time, 6th time, WHATEVER.
Have a Wishlist.
If you have a “wishlist”, which I have had many times and changed it up according to my whims or life’s bumps, I tell people, WRITE IT DOWN. Believe that it will happen. IT DOES. Then ACT ON IT. But, if you don’t take that first step, albeit a scary one for some, you will never allow yourself the chance to essentially invest in YOUR OWN.
Your home is where your heart is.
Let me use an example of a recent scenario that I’m working on. Single woman, who had to walk away from her vacation property a number of years ago. She has her own business, filed bankruptcy within the last year+. STILL, she’s had a dream. She has wanted to be back at that same vacation destination that she once loved that healed her heart every time she came there. (Yes, Fishhawk Lake Real Estate !!) She has some money put aside. She has gotten her credit score up to a fairly decent level—650—and she knows that in less than two years that bankruptcy will fall away.
Get creative.
She finds one of my Fishhawk Lake Real Estate properties that has been on the market for some time. It suits her PERFECTLY! The seller is MOTIVATED. We talk. I suggest a lease-option, which is out of my norm persay, but in this case will work so beautifully for both the seller (money finally coming in, as she’s retired, lives out of the country and wants to be done with this property, but having been a realtor she also still has her finger on the pulse of the reality of real estate today) and the buyer, who desperately wants to come back to Fishhawk Lake for heart-healing weekends, and just needs a bit more time before getting a loan.
Dreams come true.
Well, dreams CAN COME TRUE. We’ve worked out a viable plan for both of them and I feel like the Fairy Godmother who has waved my magic wand and made wishes come true!
