Thankful Thursdays: In all things be thankful...

In all things be thankful is what came to mind when I met Mr. & Mrs. Kimball at the Prado & Kramer Real Estate Fundraiser BBQ. (Mr. & Mrs. Kimball to the right)

Their story is one of tragedy and overwhelming sadness with the loss of their daughter Erin and two very young grandchildren to a heinous act of domestic violence. They began the Erin Kimball Memorial Foundation to honor her life and her children's lives.

What caring loving people they are to see through their pain to help prevent senseless injuries and deaths that may begin with a push or shove and escalate to extreme violence and then leads many times to homelessness. Their efforts help so many people and have touched me deeply.

Thank you Erin's parents for the community support you provide, it is invaluable. A special thanks to Prado & Kramer for helping to raise money and create more awareness for the Erin Kimball Memorial Foundation.

Isn;t it sad to see how domestic violence can destroy a family. It is also uplifting to see this family take that tragedy and turn it into something positive to STOP THE VIOLENCE!

Breaks my heart every time I read about domestic violence.  It's amazing what Mr. and Mrs. Kimball are doing.  I will head over to the link and make a donation.  Such a worthy cause Wanda.

Cheryl, I am so glad there are organizations such as the Erin Kimball Memorial Foundation that fill a great need in our communities!

Dan, We raised over $1700 thanks to the giving spirit of people in our area plus the owners of Prado & Kramer matching the donation amount!

Mike, So true. We hope our children continue to be safe as they grow and become independent, productive people!

Joan, Thank you for the well wishes! It was a great success!

Thank you Roger for your support of this organization...it helps so many!

Will, Great things have come from this tragic event and we had almost 150 people!
