Arachnophobia?

No, I was just outnumbered in Sacramento

I was walking an apartment community in the Pocket area of Sacramento today making a dry rot list for the management company. While walking through the shrubbery behind one of the units, I could feel that I was walking through spider webs. I saw a large spider and decided to get a shot of it. After checking the photo I could see that there was a second spider in a web just past my target spider.

 Spiders in Sacramento

While walking away and looking around, I noticed that there were dozens of these large spiders within 10 feet of each other, all with their own large web. Apparently, there is a lot of good inspects to eat down by the Sacramento River in the Pocket area. I got out of there quickly.  J

I’m not good with pest control and extermination, as a general contractor in Sacramento; I’m comfortable with dry rot and water damage repairs

Yeah, I can't say I'm fond of spiders.  And, when there are a lot, there are a lot of insects around.  Yuck.

Tom, There's a certain time of year when some good sized wood spiders start setting up nests outside.  Few things worse than unexpectedly walking into one of their webs and doing the "get this off of me NOW" dance!

Good morning Tom. I'm with the others, not fond of spiders but the worst is walking into the webs. There are many around now in my neck of the woods too.

My car was covered with spider webs yesterday when I went out to run errands...............

I was reminded that if it weren't for the spiders, there would be many more inspects around Debbie.

Hi Tom - Based on the old theory that the enemy of my enemy is my friend, I like spiders, because they eat lots of bugs, and I really don't like bugs.

Interesting theory Dick.

As long as the bugs leave me alone, I have no problem with them. I just need to pay closer attention to where I'm walking sometimes.  :)

I like spiders too, Tom. We always rescue the ones in our house and gently put them outside. I only like them to a point :)

Good, bad, or indifferent, I have never seen so many spiders and webs in my life as I have in Sacramento.  It's really quite remarkable.

Tom, I don't do spiders if I can help it.  But I really don't like to screw up their webs!  The web is the spider's home!

If there webs were more clearly marked, I would be less likely to mess up their home Pat.

Hi Tom, Giving some thought to this, I realized that you must run in a lot of dangerous things in your work.
