13 Comments on Excogitate is the new word of the day
James, I'd never heard the word with the "ex" in front of it, I'd only heard it spoken like "let me cogitate on it"...never used it myself and now I'm glad I didn't.
Not familiar with the word at all James, and not sure I'd ever use it either.
Interesting. The meaning isn't intuitive to me. Looking at the etymology, ex means out and so excogitate means to out-think.
I did not know this word but did know that we have to think out carefully and fully as we focus on the needs of clients.
Have an outstanding day!
This one sounds nothing like it means....ex makes it sound as though it is a getting rid of sort of word...exfoliate...exit....
Hi James,
Even though I don't sell Real Estate and get involved with all the paperwork.
I am involved in a way with my inspections.
HMMMM..... maybe I do excogitate .
Have a great day in Rogers.
Best, Clint McKie
James,
Excogitate is a word I don't ever want to forget! Being the best at what you do takes courage. It's a passion and only the best in the industry, like yourself succeed.
Good afternoon James.
Always focus on the task ahead.
Thank you.
Never heard or seen that word before and totally got the pronunciation wrong when I first read it out loud. I definitely use the word in my work habits even though I don't "use" the actual word.
I spend so much time thinking, my head hurts. It's like little pin needles sticking me in the sides of my head. Oh, wait, that's from my cat wrapped around my head.
Hi James. I am with Mona. I have heard the word cogitate.
James- same here, I am familiar with the word cogitate.
The last time I excogitated was when I ate something that didn't agree with me.
There was little paper work involved...
