The Maryland State Fair, Maryland’s premier event at the end of summer each year since the 1881. Sack races and greased pole climbing have grown with the times to ferris wheel rides and giant slides. The fair has also grown in size as well, from 37 acres in the early days to 100 acres and so much entertainment that in 1999 it could no longer fit in the the original 10 day fair so the fair organizers added an 11th day making “The 11 Best Days of Summer - The Maryland State Fair”

The Maryland State Fair offers far more than a dog and pony show. There are educational and agricultural events, exhibits, shows and hands on opportunities. Don’t miss out on this wonderful experience and Maryland tradition we call “The 11 Best Days of Summer - The Maryland State Fair”

Admission:
Adults $8.00
Seniors (62 and over) $6.00
Children (6-11) $3.00
Children 5 and under are free

Rides:
1-6 tickets each, tickets $1.00 ea. or 50 for $45.00
Wristbands $22.00 - Sold only from Noon to 6 pm and can be used from noon to 10 pm
A $5.00 off ride coupon is available at participating Food Lion stores

State Fairs can be such fun and I've been to quite a few, although it's been a while. HOpe you all have great fun a the AR meet-up.Your fair is ALOT let expensive than ours is, which happened this summer.
