I was fortunate to still be in my youth when Frankie Valli was releasing one hit song after another. He literally hit the high notes and the Four Seasons back-ups set him up to do it too. I can remember driving around with friends, my girl or even alone and if his song came on, well I reached over, turned it up and got ready to sing it out with Frankie and the boys
RAP MUSIC...sorry but you cannot use the word "music"
The other day, WAY before I saw it, a car approached playing some RAP song with all the windows down. No memroable beat, words or meaning...just some monologue by someone who couldn't keep quiet. It reminded me of someone who had fever and was hallucinating. Now I understand that driver is grooving to his tune, but I can fast forward into his future and there is nothing romantic, uplifting or even memorable with this song. I'm sorry, but you cannot make this up...
CONSIDER THIS...
On loud music lets say Rock & Roll with blaring guitars and back-up, there is some worth there too if it is a catchy and worthy beat. If it is just someone on a drug high with an instrument... move on. I don't know who is worse off. The singer or the listener. You wont want RAP or Psychedelic music played on your anniversaries or birthdays as the years go on. I ma not making this up...
PUPPY LOVE...FIRST LOVE...ICING ON THE LIFE CAKE
Franki Valli sang about love. Boy and girl love. Young man and young woman love. Love that felt good from just being around the other person and enjoying their company. Some of his songs tell of the other person leaving and the heart is tugged upon. Others speak of the first kiss or outing. Now who hasn't had a boyfriend or a girl friend and a decent song to lock in that experience?
MOTOWN...NOW THAT'S SINGING..and you can dance to it too
While we are on the subject...I also had the privilege of growing up with MOTOWN playing all the time. My friends, listen to the words of any MOTOWN song and be moved from your head to your toes. Again, love fills the air. PLUS...You cannot stand still physically and I would bet all I have that your heart is jumping around too.
Those that had this experience know what I am talking about...
