America Meditation – Pause For Peace

When: August 24, 2012 6:30 – 9:30 pm

Where: Montgomery College TP/SS Campus – Cultural Arts Center

What: This event aims to foster inner peace and job by providing insight, as well as inspiring live entertainment featureing singers, ballet and indian dancers, comedy, inspirational speakers, and of course, meditation practives that will change your life!

 

Fenton Street Market

When: Every Saturday 10 am to 4 pm

Where: Corner of Fenton St & Ellsworth Dr – Silver Spring, MD

What: Come out and purchase items unique to Fenton Street Market, such as Elsen Oils, Deb Soromenho Jewelry, Crepes and Magnificent Mini Donuts.

 

FRESHFARM’s Farmer’s Market

When: August 25, 2012 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

Where: The heart of Downtown Silver Spring on Ellsworth Drive between Fenton Street and Georgia Avenue.

What:  Visit the public garage filled with products such as goats’ mile cheeses, tree and field fruit, vegetables, honey, eggs, meat, pies, preserves, salsas, cut flowers, breads, pastries and more!

 

Takoma Park Farmers Market

When: Open Sundays, year round 10 am – 2 pm

Where: Carroll Avenue and Laurel Avenue in Takoma Park

What: Purchase food and agricultural products from our own area vendors. Products will include anything from baked goods, to dried herbs.

 

“Twilight Tuesdays” Plaza Performances

When: August 28, 2012 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Where: Veterans Plaza

What: Ambiance performances on Veterans Plaza for your enjoyment as you stroll downtown Silver Spring for a few minutes or a couple of hours. Coordinated by the Silver Spring Town Center, Inc., (SSTCi)
