Property Management for Realtors

I was speaking with a fellow agent today and he mentioned that he was managing a few properties for his past clients. It can be a rewarding path to take as a supplement to our income but it takes the right personality for this type of job. Dealing with tenants on a regular basis can be challenging, especially if evictions are involved. The nice benefit is that you get a small stream of income coming in monthly which will lessen the financial impact in a realtor's household.

Wondering if anyone out there is also juggling with property management as well as the daily realtor tasks. What are the best ways to get started in it? Contacting past clients who may need assistance with property management is a good step. What are some other ways to help generate business in the particular niche of the marketplace?

hmmm interesting I did not know any Realtor could use the license to be a property manager too. My guess is you need to pick one area and learn it and do it really well to be successful.
