"Contemporary High Country" Style Connecticut Home Staging
This large Living Room in Heritage Village, Southbury CT, needed some lightening and brightening, as well as a defined floor plan for furniture placement. Nestings Home Staging imbued this vacant condo with a "Contemporary High Country" style to attract the target buyer: affluent 55+ from the New York area.

We removed the dated window treatment, as well as some of the builtins' shelves. This made room for a lamp, as well as some art to brighten the room. The view of the woods, a key selling feature, is not blocked by furniture. The sofa is almost the same color as the walls, so it does not have a large presence in the room. It has clean lines, with some tufting as a nod to more traditional pieces. Bright pillows help brighten the space.

A stately chair with an antique look and a floor lamp were added to one side of the fireplace for a library feel. The contemporary lamp contrasts nicely with the chair.

The two chairs, in bright white tufted leather, look out towards the view. Since there was so much space, we added a wine bar behind this seating area. This was a great opportunity to demonstrate added functionality as well as add more lighting.
I like to position the clock's hands at 5:05 - cocktail time!
Prior to Staging, this vacant condo was on the market for ten weeks, with very little interest in a crowded market. After Staging, it had many showings, and sold in six weeks!
