9 Comments on The seasons as a metaphor for life.
Good morning Richard,
You of course know you should write a book and share your many sayings, poems and words of wisdom:).
Hi Richard. You're not the first to see the seasons as a metaphor for life. One of my favorite Shakespearean sonnets begins, "That time of year thou mayst in me behold/ When yellow leaves, or none, or few do hang / Upon those boughs which shake against the cold / Bare ruin'd choirs, where late the sweet birds sang."
And I suspect a lot of us Realtors are grasshoppers ...
We need to count our blessings for making it to the autumn of our years, many don't Richard. Lovely sentiment.
Good morning Richard,
Very well said. I love your photograph as well. Enjoy this day.
Dorie...
That may be how this grasshopper survives! Thanks my friend for the kind words and encouragement.
Dianne...
Nobody can match Shakespeare for the turn of phrase. I am quite certain that his words have influenced me in my creative endeavors.
Roger...
So true, we are very blessed indeed. Thanks so much for jumping in.
Cindy...
I'm feeling lazy today. Maybe another cup of coffee first! Thanks so much.
Richard, it may be true, but I just don't feel like it. I feel the same inside. Beautiful poem and photo, as always!
Have a wonderful Sunday and a week full of positive business! And fun too.
Richard. . I wrote a post a few months back. .about the preservation of our minds and how important is its role to keep us in the game. . .I have since actually improved mine with the addition of vitamins and the right food for thought. . .everyone of us going to the winter eventually.. .I guess preserving your mind is like getting warm clothing and still be out there a little longer!
Our trees are showing signs of stress. Leaves are turning already. Color this fall will be uncertain.
We are all getting there! Ambition and tired bones...you are so correct. I feel it every time I get on the treadmill!
