Debe, I knew it was just a matter of time before something like this would happen. Unfortunately, too many companies have our sensitive information and not all of them know how to safeguard it.
Thanks for the warning Debe, I hope that all of the people on the list get the warning before thieves get the numbers.
I will share this one too.
Debe - Wow! I don't even want to think about how that could have happened.
What a freakin' surprise...
And we have to be careful with credit cards. Recently I made a stupid call to a fake company and gave them my credit card information, and then realized that I made a mistake, so I called the credit card company and cancelled the card.
They sent me another one, but meanwhile the closed account hit me and I lost about 50 points on my credit score, and it took, I believe, couple months to fix the problem
Debbie - This is so incredibly sad and irresponsible of this company. I'm so glad you are able to prevent this from happening to others.
Hi Debe,
I see a lawsuit happening.
If not from you, someone else. That is irresponsible and dangerous of them...
Phil
This is scary . I have not used the company but am scared to do a search and find other companies that may have done the same.
Debe, this is just down right irresponsible! With all of the issues with identity theft, what were they thinking??????
Debe...very scary and alarming, thank you so much for sharing your experience and advise. We've come so far in this age of technology, a little over the edge at times.
That is ridiculous! Thankfully I have not used them, but I am so sorry that it happened to you and many others. How unethical.
Well, Debe, I stopped by to wish you a very happy Birthday - and it seems all visits to your posts is beneficial to me in one way or the other - for example this one.
Looking forward to August 30th Rain Camp....
This is amazing, and even more so that they are not acting quickly on their customers' behalf! Totally shameful!
Debe, Thank goodness I do not use third party vendors such as House Hunting dot com to market my listings. IDIOTS!!!
Debe - so glad you caught this and thank for sharing. How irresponsible of them.
You are kidding? This is horrible...and I hope you are keeping track of the correspondence with them, if you have damages in the future due to this. wow
My two cents worth is on this subject might be a little off track but follow me for a minute
For those who may not search their own email address in Google ( I honestly never thought about doing that) but you should also set up a google alert so that anytime something about anything search term appears (in this case an email address) on the web, you are notified pretty quickly
(Again, just an opinion)
I Might reblog this with that idea !
Chuck in Tampa
Debe: Do you have an update on this? Just curious as to whether it was resolved yet.
Still no response whatsoever, Melissa! Absolutely SHOCKING to me. I'm sure that the Attorney General is soon to be all over this.
I am so glad that you posted this and I am going to reblog it for folks that read my site also. This is a very valuble information that needs to be shared with other. Thanks for the excellent post.
