Real Estate Transactions - a story of a blessed transition for two families note card from tulsa home sellers

As normal procedure, my Buyers and I performed a final walk-through of the home they were purchasing an hour before closing. Everything was in tact, and the children were thrilled to discover that the swing set had been left behind. While the parents and I walked through to inspect each room, their children were in the back yard swinging!

We found a note in the kitchen from the Sellers to the new home owners. Michele read it and commented that it was a lovely note. Juan didn't have his glasses, so said he would read it later. I didn't read it, because of course, it wasn't addressed to me.

Today my Buyers sent me an email and asked me to forward it to the Sellers:

Dear Banzet Family,
We are the family that live in your previous home, The Hernandez Family - Juan, Michele, Emilio (10) and Mina (7).
I would like to thank you for the wonderful card expressing your thoughts. It made us feel very welcomed and blessed!
Thank you to your boys for their prayers! They worked perfectly! We are very happy in the home!
Our son, Emilio, has the blue bedroom and our daughter, Mina, has the green. They have a hamster named Zola and soon we will bring our cat, Jessica, from Mexico.
So the home is filled again with two parents, two children and two pets!!
We send you our prayers and thoughts of peace and joy for your new home! We know it will be wonderful!
Thank you for everything! The Hernandez Family

It just reminded me that real estate transactions CAN be positive. Buyers and Sellers don't have to be adversaries. The Banzet family outgrew their home and moved on to something larger, and the home they loved so well is now filled with another family, very thankful to have it. How thoughtful of the Banzets to leave the Hernandez family a note with well wishes. Although I didn't read their note, I can imagine from Michele's response what it must have said.

Real estate is always about transitions of some sort. And happily, this was a positive transition for each family. Now that they have each other's email addresses, I wouldn't be surprised if they stayed in touch.
