Butterflies and Flowers at Brookside Gardens

 

We have a rainy day in Maryland and it is good to turn our thoughts to butterflies and flowers.
 
Brookside Gardens is located in the Wheaton Regional Park in Montgomery County, Maryland.  It is one of the treasures enjoyed by residents and visitors from all parts of the world. Montgomery County is the favorite area for home buyers that are relocated to the metropolitan area of Washington, DC. 
 
The annual Wings of Fancy Live Butterfly and Caterpillar Exhibit is located in the South Conservatory at Brookside Gardens and is open daily until September 16, 2012. www.brooksidegardens.org, or call 301-962-1453 for information.

Families that are relocated to Maryland love the greenery and the flowers.  When we first moved to Maryland, we were coming from a beach area where we had lived for many years.  The big change was all of the trees and the beautiful plants and flowers.


Endre:  When you first see an Alas Moth, you know that it is the biggest moth you have ever seen. Two hands will not cover the size.

WOW!  I have never seen such close up shots of these amazing butterflies, and Caterpillars. I wish I could come next month to see this Exhibit, but your photos will make up for that visit.
