As I daily try to grow my business, I have questions on where I should begin and where I should start my growth.  What works and what doesn't work?  Should I cold call, should I send out mailers.  What on earth should I do?

My answer is not to sit still but to dive in and try logical routes and less costly routes like calling past clients and asking if they know anyone looking to sell or buy.  We sometimes get going with the business at hand that we forget about the past clients that helped generate that business.  They are a great asset to your business especially if you took care of them.  Now if you didn't, that's another dilema.  

During the home buying process with my clients, I ask them to send me referrals and to please remember me to their family and their friends.  When we close, I tell them..."now that my job is complete with them, I will need other clients to continue the job at hand and would they help me to do that".  It's just like when you go see a great movie, you want to tell everybody how good that move was and that's how I want my experience to be with all of my clients.  I want to be like that great movie they just saw and couldn't wait to spread the word about.  

When I list a home, I'm providing extra business cards for their family and friends so they can pass them out and let them know about the GREAT REALTOR they just hired.  This goes a long way.  

If you believe in yourself and your abilities then others will believe in you too.  You have to approach your business confidently and know that you are the best Realtor Ever!  Even if you don't have it all together and even if you're just starting out, start working on that confidence level.  If you don't believe and if you are timid, how can you expect for anyone to put their most valuable assets in your hands or expect anyone to help you with one of the biggest decisions they will make in their lifetime.  Think about that.  

When you want to grow, go to your vine an pick off the trees that got you there in the 1st place, they are ripe for the asking and no one can grow thier business if no one knows you're in the business.  YOU CAN'T BE A SECRET AGENT.  ASK, SEEK AND KNOCK and watch the results.
