Kristal: Excellent post ... loved it! With all that must be talked about and covered within the typical/average mortgage transaction these days, it's easy to overlook the "niceties" that used to be more commonplace. You can get caught-up in the details of the transaction and overlook the details of the human being your providing service for. Maybe I need the same saying having over my desk that you have above yours ... I'm thinking it'd be a great reminder for me to SLOW DOWN and see the real person before me ....

Great post Kristal, that mind set will take you very far, especially in this industy!
Hi Kristal, I love that quote! I have that quote on some note cards that I have. Great post!
Kristal:
I love that statement. I find it very difficult to find the right gift for my clients and sometimes end up buying a banal gift. I need to leave to be more creative with my gifts. I like your idea of a checklist for transaction and others. Really great idea.
This is a great message and a very important part of client service that many often forget. Thanks for posting.

I realize probably most realtors give closing gifts. We do not. I never got a gift from my attorney or my accountant or my dentist. I just don't see it.
Whenever we can give OURSELVES in place of something, I believe it it always better received.
Kristal, I would say that you're well on your way to being exceptional! Most don't even take the time to think about how to improve.
Kristal, I also give closing gifts and try to personalize them. One easy thing I did this week..but it made a big impact...was brought lunch to my buyers who were moving in. Cost me about $25 and they were so grateful!
The book sounds wonderful, I am going to have to find it and get it read!
I love this article, the quotes you quoted were great, & I found this very motivational! I will need to check the book "Less Blah Blah, More Ah Ha" out! Thanks for sharing.
