When It’s Time For Change – Make the Change

“There is at least one point in the history of any company

when you have to change dramatically to rise to the next level of performance, miss that moment and you start to decline.”

 Andy Grove, Intel CEO

As I see it . . . . . . .

When it’s for time for change – make the change

The history of the business world is littered with failed business models.

The businesses didn’t fail because they couldn’t change or adjust, they failed because they refused acknowledge the shifts in the business environment and tried to push either a dying or dead business model.

A business that fails to change . . . . Fails.

Businesses have to continually stay in tune with the consumers by evaluating their products or services and the way they’re delivered to the market. A successful will adjust and change to remain relevant to their customers.

The business that’s stays in tune with their customers will have the opportunity to continue to serve their customers.

A business that fails to stay in tune to customers falls behind the business curve and is on a slippery slope of becoming irrelevant to their customers.

As we evaluate the market for our product services we have to ask the tough questions:

■ Is there a market for the product and service and how deep is

market?

■ Is there a market for your products and services in the form   that they’re being offered to the market?

Is the message reaching the right target market?

■ What has to be changed or adjusted to maximize your marketing effort?

■ Does your customer services meet and exceed the customers expectation?

■ Are you offering the right products and services to fit the changing demands of the marketplace?

Here are three key questions that have to be asked. Are your products and services delivering value to your customers?  Are they willing to pay for it? And if not why?

A business will only remain relevant when there is a need for the products and service and when the customer perceives that value exceeds the price.

When it’s time for change – make the change.

I am really proud of our broker/owner for some of the huge changes he has made in our business.  Some of them came with a cost... but they will all make us better and stronger.  Great post Lou!  Kathy

Unfortunately, most of us get attached to "No Change". If we are truly aware and pay attention to what is going on around us, the opportunity to change allows growth the happen.

I was just telling my broker today about a development in my business that is providing a huge opportunity but is against everything I said that I wanted (more exactly, it's exactly what I said I didn't want) in my business. The reason I didn't want it originally was because I wanted repeat business, not to have to work for each and every sale. When he laughed and questioned me about it, I told him that over the years I have learned to be FLEXIBLE.

As the fear of change is exemplified in "you go first." Embracing change does take courage. I believe Winston Churchill said "Courage is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm." Congrats on the Second Chance Saturday feature.

And that "change" you want to jump to may not be there for long or someone else has filled the need.  So when you see opportunity, grab it.
