The low cost of living, plethura of entertainment and recreational options and family-friendly atmosphere are just some of the attributes that made College Station the top choice for Livability.com. Of course, having an educational establishment like Texas A&M doesn't hurt either (Go, Aggies!). While the athletic program is known throughout the country, the college also provides a venue for live musical and theatrical performances for the community.
During the school year, Texas A&M students make up more than half of the entire population of College Station. Because they tend to bring more cultural diversity as well as great medical facilities and a steady influx of money into the local economy, college towns are always attractive to homeowners. It certainly makes me proud to call myself a College Station citizen!
