Would you like to save up to $150 a year on energy costs?
And how would you like a check for $50 to $1000 for buying a new refrigerator? That's a no brainer...
You can do all this by recycling your old refrigerator or freezer. The NJ Clean Energy Program will pick it up for FREE and you will receive a $50 rebate.
But you can earn $1,000 if you recycle the oldest refrigerator!
To participate you must:
- Have a refrigerator or freezer between 10 and 30 cubic feet in size. The unit must be operational at the time of pick up.
- Refrigerator or freezer unit must be owned by the customer. You may recycle a maximum of two units per year.
- You must provide clear and safe access to your appliance(s) for the removal team. Personnel will not risk injury, or be able to move personal effects, or otherwise modify your home (e.g., remove door or railings) to remove the unit.
- An adult, 18 years of age or older, must be present to sign the release form.
The contest for the oldest refrigerator ends on September 30th.
If you're in the market for a new refrigerator, why not get a rebate...and recycle!
