Addison Pacesetters Take Time for Tea.
One of the many benefits of living in Addison, Texas, is the famous Addison Athletic Club (AAC), which is free to Addison residents (after a one-time $10 processing fee) for as long as they live in Addison. For AAC members 50 years of age and beyond, the club offers a variety of activities beyond the exercise facilities. This 50+ group is known as the Addison Pacesetters.
There is a tea scheduled once a month. It’s a fun social hour and a great way to meet your Addison neighbors. I attended this month's tea and had a great time!
These are a few of this month's participants and some of the delicious treats:
According to Deena Atkinson, the event (and Pacesetter) coordinator, "tea is a fashionable and trendy way to carve out some meaningful time with friends. It provides a refined retreat to connect with others and appreciate some quality time together. This will be an informal affair and you are asked to bring yummy treats to share. Some examples of treats might be scones, fruit salad, cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches, egg salad sandwiches, chicken salad sandwiches or a variety of desserts. The tea will be provided."

The monthly afternoon tea is a free event, but registration is requested. If you are an Addison resident 50+ years young, you can register at the front desk at the AAC for next month's afternoon tea or call 972-450-7048. It’s free but a head count is needed so there are enough place settings.
