Yes, it's just like a family reunion. We all know each other so well and this was the 4th Active Rain Meet up at Dagny's. The day was gorgeous and so was the setting. Dagny's house is lovely and her backyard and pool were the perfect setting.

I arrived hot and flustered after a long and hectic day getting lots of samples for customers. Dagny and I have become such close friends that she let me take a quick shower there while the guests mingled. I felt so much better and it did so much for my psyche. Thank yuo Dagny. You are the hostess with the mostess.
Dagny asked us all to bring some healthy snacks/food...so of course almost everyone brought fruit...of course, what else is right for a pool party on such a lovely day? Oh, and we had some uninvited guests...they were wearing yellow jackets, and they didn't seem to listen to my direction when I told them to go back home to their hives. Dagny then created a bee's trap...not sure where she learned this, but it didn't work very well...the bee got out.
We chatted about lots of random stuff from real estaate, staffing, AR, pinterest, 4 square to bees. It was fun.
Here's Phil Faranda in one of his trademark poses...glasses on head....a signature move he learned from his father (named Joseph and hence the J in J Philip).
Anyone who knows Phil knows that he is like a kid with his gadgets. He he is showing the other kids something like 4 square or something equallly silly.
Above - Dagny Eason, J Phil Faranda, Marilyn Katz.
Here are the 2 point leaders for our 2 states: CT - George Souto anand NY Jennifer Fivesdal. Ed Silva just made it to the first page of the leaderboard and George is going to make him work real hard if he ever tries to surpass him.
The new person I met this evening was Tatyana Makarov. She is just as sweet and stunning in person. But, even more impressive is her ability to play the piano (did you see that video?). Maybe next time, she will play for us. (left is Ginny Gorman; right is Tatyana Makarov)
Afterwards, Ginny Gorman (who traveled from Rhode Island and is spending the night), Dagny and I hung out. We are great buddies from Rain Camp in Atlantic City from a year and a half ago. We drove together and shared rooms. It's always great catching up with such great friends.
I can't wait for the next one...oh wait, it's not that far away...we are having one in Westchester on Thurs night at 6pm(White Plains The Brazen Fox 175 Mamaroneck Ave). Phil tried to blame me for the time/location...typical guy thing.
If you have an opportunity to go to a local meet up, by all means go...they are so fun.
