Doctors should make house calls and they used to back in the day but now they don't. I know of two attorneys that will come to your house right now and counsel with you and get things done. Real Estate agents are eager to serve in this capacity and have always prided themselves on being hands on literally to the product and the mission

WE KEEP COMING

Whether buying, selling or investing, a set of experienced eyes and ears when added to your own makes for a better outcome for all the parties. Agents not only come to your house, but keep coming and coming learning as much as they can to bridge the gap between buyer, seller and investor

WE WORK FOR FREE UP FRONT

This is under appreciated at this time for some reason. If the day ever came that an agent would charge for their visits, many would recall fondly of the days when they did not. Those days are with us now. You do get your moneys worth from working with a local Real Estate agent

THE SYSTEM WORKS

Your agent makes an upfront investment in the transaction. They do the work, they spend the time and in many cases the money to bring about the agreed to result. The agent DOES NOT GET PAID UNTIL THEY PERFORM which is usually at the close of the transaction. What can be more fairer than that?

REAL ESTATE PROBLEMS

If you surf the Internet in regards to what can go wrong with a Real Estate transaction, you will not be bored. Keep in mind that even the banks are struggling to do consistent and professional business in this arena which they should excel in...but they don't

Your local...hands on agent...will and can...get it done

I work often these days as a buyer's agent. It is a lot of work when a client does not know what they want or have cold feet every time when they do like the house.

I talk to agents from Europe: they always charge a client upfront fee or require some kind of $$$ commitment.

Never I could understand why as a buyer agent after working with a client for months- it is ok , if they work away or write offer with another agent?

Hello Jon...This business is good to everyone who is in it if they show the proper respect for all the dynamics. Take nothing for granted. We are moving huge improved land parcels effectively and efficiently...That's no joke!

Hello Kevin...I hope so...because that is exactly what takes place. What devotion to the transaction...Thank you

Hi there Inna...most excellent point made by you....It is absolutely a No No to switch or even think about going to another agent after an agent has invested time, money and effort...Inna, the day may come when an upfront consultation fee might be the norm...who knows?

What a terrific commercial for all of us.  We do get a bad rap all the time and here is a very simple approach to what we do.  Thanks Richie.

Well Said, Richie!  Around here, most don't seem to know much about how we operate. Working for free upfront is about unheard of anymore. Quite an incentive to do a good job throughout the transaction, too!

I try to make sure that the first initial contact is not their home due to security reasons.  Of course, there are exceptions.  Nowadays, one just never knows...

Richie, so true!  And most people think we have this trough of money and we freely springle it around by giving free advice, taking people out who never buy or list homes that never sell....If only people really understood...

Early in my career, a couple called me to list their home. When I asked when would be a convenient time to come over, they were surprised. They said the other agent they had spoken to insisted they come to his office. I aked if he'd seen the home? No. He also asked them to bring photos of the home as he would not be coming out to take any photos. They were so happy that I came out. They listed with me that night. So not all agents make house calls.

And then there are clients that SHOULD pay upfront because they are SO much drama or inconsistency!!!

Always use a local agent...  I wonder how these agents in CA get away with being 500 miles from their listing when they know an agent must do a visual insp0ection of the property.  I guess they have been lucky and have never been sued.

Hi there Jill...Yes, those clients do make the world go round and also spin a few heads too

Gary...how true and they do get away with it in California. I once had a bank contact me to do a BPO 800 miles away. I called them and after me pointing out to them it wont work. They still dint get it. I then said fine, if you pay me mileage plus the fee, I will go. Put me on hold and dropped the matter soon after. Too expensive

Phillip...thank you. I enjoyed hearing from my fellow wizards as well....
