Choosing a Home Inspector in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania

 

When we represent buyers in Pottsville, Orwigsburg, Schuylkill Haven or other towns in Schuylkill County, we always advise the buyer get a home inspection. Even if it's new construction, it's best to have a professional home inspector look at the home and give you his or her advice. 

I frequently use one of two local home inspectors, Dave Teter at Down Home Inspections Inc. in Orwigsburg or in Dean Conrad at Dependable Home Inspections LLC in Pottsville. 

Both Dave and Dean are solid, reliable home inspectors. They know Schuylkill County well, and in the years I have known both of them, they have never steered me wrong. Some real estate brokers or agents in the area will not recommend one firm or another. They don't want to stick their necks out and be "in trouble" if a buyer does not like a particular vendor that they recommend. I think our buyers deserve better representation than that. I think our buyers deserve to be ADVISED and not just handed a list of service providers and told to "pick one, any one."

So here are my two recommended home inspectors. If you are looking for a home inspection to be done in Schuylkill County, I recommend calling one of these. Yes there are other inspectors in the book. If you are a buyer please do feel free to use ANY VENDOR you choose. It is not an agent's job to tell you who to use. However, if I wanted a home inspection of a home I personally was purchasing, I'd choose one of these guys:
